Unix Administrator, Oracle VM, OVM, Banking, London
A large global bank are looking to add an experienced and communicative Unix/Linux System Administrator to join their Unix/Linux Infrastructure team, responsible for the maintenance, design, configuration, support and documentation of the banks Linux Redhat estate EMEA wide.
In addition to this, this individual would also be involved in infrastructure projects, and will be given the autonomy to run with projects themselves, and also opportunities to migrate from Oracle VM to VM Ware.
This is a fantastic chance to join a growing bank that are really on the front-foot currently, with the scope to cross-train into other technologies, so not just your typical Unix/Linux SA remit.
Key Duties
- Installation, operation, monitoring, troubleshooting for the bank's enterprise-wide Red Hat Linux estate.
- Support, configuration, planning, documentation, and projects for Oracle VM, OVM virtual environment
- Take ownership over varied infrastructure projects across the bank.
Key Skills
- In depth experience of enterprise-level Unix/Red Hat Linux administration - installation, operation, monitoring, troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience working with Oracle VM, OCM.
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for technology.
- Scripting skills such as Shell or Python.
